Sweets minatures and jewelry buyers: beware of deceptive sellers |
Brain Fuzz Hats by Custom Cosplay posted a photo:
I have seen an increasing number of "jewelry artists" posting items they have made where they are obviously using imported miniatures.
I bought these (very cheaply) while on vacation to make a point. They may be very detailed, but they are imports. Artists who claim to have made items like this are more than likely deceiving you and selling imported trinkets like these. They are not durable. The jewelry will not last. You will be disappointed.
As it is, I left them in their packaging and the stems broke off most of the cherries before I even had them home. The thin clay parts and glass dishes are so thin and delicate, they would be fine as doll house decor, but using it to make jewelry will surely lead to disappointment.
Anyway, this is just to inform buyers: I make all my clay jewelry, and because I am careful to make sure each piece is thick enough to be reasonably durable, it will last much longer than this kind of junk. Beware of chintzy imports!
